VERTICAL Londoners
I “see” what I photograph as a 28mm horizontal photo, it’s how I’ve composed my work for years, decades if I’m honest.And yes B&W high contrast too of course……
Well in the spirit of pushing the boundaries I set myself a challenge….. go vertical.
And I have to say I found it difficult, no, bloody difficult if I’m truthful.
I “shoot from the hip” as I like to get the photo before the “star of the show” can react to being photographed.
So I’m just not in the habit of raising the camera to my eye, well to do vertical that was the big problem. I missed so many opportunities it was extremely frustrating.
I like to set myself these little challenges but this one was really really hard.
Anyway here is a roll, all composed vertically in camera and you will note "only" 24, as I said .....hard..
I like the outcome but I’m not sure I’m going to repeat the experiment.
