My name’s André Bogaert & I take Photos of Strangers.

Occasionally I shout out loud
One of my photography heroes, Dorothea Lange said something like “I let my photos do the talking”. Well I'm with her, sometimes I mumble but occasionally I shout out loud.

For my eye high contrast black & white feels right. It's an interpretation not a facsimile. I don't care too much about the kit. I'm from the “it's not what you point, it's what you point it AT that counts” school of thought.

I am a born & bred Londoner & I’m convinced London is the best city for street photography. As I see it my “studio” is outt my front door. 

So I’ve got a camera I feel is my friend, I’ve got the location I know and love.
Now I need a few moments to come up with the reason why that last photo I took wasn’t very good.
